Del Oro advanced six wrestlers to the CIF State Tournament and placed 5th overall as a team at the Sac Joaquin Section Masters Tournament. Del Oro has advanced a wrestler to the state meet every year since 1994. Jagger French finished first at 146 lbs, defeating #25 in California and Minot State commit Isaiah Bertalotto of Turlock 10-2 in the finals. This is French’s second SJS title and his third SJS finals appearance. Siraj Sidhu reached his second SJS finals with a scrappy win over #12 Elijah Valencia (Merced HS) but dropped his finals match against #10 Elijah Almarinez (Vacaville HS). Nate Mitchell (108 lbs), Christian Perez (122), Logan Banks (140), and Wyatt Alexander (152) all placed in the top 6 to move on to the final weekend of the post season in Bakersfield.
