The Del Oro Girls Wrestling team made the trek up I-80 to the Sierra Nevada Classic, taking 7th place out of 86 teams. Four Lady Eagles placed on the medal stand, with Kaiya Maggini (130 lbs) and Brynn Madden (145 lbs) winning their bracket. Ashlynn Hemm (120 lbs) and Ximena Vasquez (130 lbs) both placed 6th and Desirey Fernandez (115 lbs) was one match away from placing.
Next up for the girls team is the Queen of the Quarry Tournament at Whitney HS on Saturday.
