George Foucek
Coach George Foucek hails from Auburn, California. He grew up swimming and playing basketball before he found the sport of water polo, competing for Jesuit High School and the Sacramento Water Polo club. He attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he played water polo and graduated with a BA in English. After graduation, he coached water polo at Jesuit High School, Sac Polo and helped train water polo athletes from many local high schools including Del Oro. He was also a longtime USA Water Polo, CIF and collegiate water polo official.
George and wife Kate have 4 children, 2 currently attending Del Oro. He is an IT Program Manager, volunteer board member of the Loomis Dolphins Swim Team and coached many youth sports his kids participated in including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and flag football. Water Polo runs in the family... Kate was inducted into the Sierra College athletics Hall of Fame and finished her water polo playing career for Indiana University.
