Clint Madden
Clint Madden joined the Del Oro coaching staff as an assistant coach in 1993 and became co-head coach with Dave Sanchez in 1998. When Sanchez retired from coaching in 2013 Clint became head coach. During his coaching tenure Del Oro has had (as of the 2024-2025 season):
1. 6 CIF State Finalists and 2 CIF State Champions.
2. 67 wrestlers qualify for the CIF State Tournament and 22 wrestlers have placed top 8 at state for a total of 36 medals
3. State qualifiers every year except 2020-2021 (season cancelled due to Covid) and a state placer every year except for four years
4. 129 Sac Joaquin Section medals and 20 Sac Joaquin Section Masters Individual Champions
5. 17 Top 5 team finishes at the Sac Joaquin Section Masters tournament, including two Championships, one 2nd, and eight 3rd place finishes. Del Oro has only finished outside of the Top 10 at SJS Masters three times since the 1997-1998 season.
6. Won or shared the Sierra Foothill League title 23 times
7. 74 wrestlers win an individual SFL Title for a total of 114 SFL champions
Clint is a retired Folsom Fire Department Chief and lives in Newcastle with his wife Erika and daughters Savannah, Loren, and Brynn.
